“Empowering Epileptics Every Day”

The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation is happy to announce our mental health empowerment program for individuals, families, and caregivers who are battling epilepsy. Along with battling epilepsy, many are also struggling with mental health complications. Anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder are very common in the epilepsy community. People with epilepsy are at higher risk to commit suicide compared to the general population.

Our mental health empowerment program’s goal is to help empower individuals with epilepsy every day. Just because someone is battling epilepsy does not mean they should not live their life to the fullest. We are here to offer educational resources to help those battling anxiety and depression.

Educational resources will be made available on our YouTube channel as well as our blog to help educate our supporters who want to learn more about mental wellness.

Coming soon: We will be holding monthly zoom meetings to help provide support to those who need it. We invite you to come share your story, ask questions, and connect to others in the community.

If you have any questions regarding our program, please reach out to our president Natalie Boehm at info@defeatingepilepsy.org. Thank you for your support and together we will defeat epilepsy.
